Ingredients
- 2 lbs of fresh or frozen Kale (collard greens or turnip will work as well)
- 1 small head of cabbage, washed and sliced
- 1 smoked turkey wing or 1 ham hock
- 1/2 stick of butter
- 1 whole sliced onion
- 5 chicken bouillon cubes
- 1 Tbsp of vinegar (optional)
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- salt to taste
Fill a 6-quart or larger crock pot, half with water. Add all ingredients. Cook on high for 6 hours or on low for 8 hours. If you prefer a crisper Enjoy them with your favorite bread or other sides. (I usually enjoy this with a piece of cornbread.)
